This project began in my first year of engineering at UVic, almost as an extension of the downhill bike project. Because I wasn’t concerned with time constraints and didn’t have to create a lot of component parts, I was able to focus more on the finer details, such as adding removable dropouts and refining the geometry.
The frame went through two iterations, and I also had to modify the wheels and fork to accompany the new bike, which is designed around 29″ wheels.
